Dosage & Application

LA35 DOSAGE:

La35 is a 64% lanthanum chloride solution. Approximately 0.7 gallon will remove 1.0 ppm of orthophosphate from 100,000 gallons of water. [Approximately 2.7 liters will remove 1.0 mg/liter of orthophosphate from 455 m³ of water.]

APPLICATION:

  1. Measure orthophosphate concentration in the pool and makeup seawater to determine a total concentration.
  2. Apply half the calculated dosage for the first 4 days by applying it to the pool skimmer to filter pipe. In 4-20 seconds, a precipitate forms.
  3. Use dosage pumps to feed solution throughout the day. Monitor filter operation.
  4. On day 5 and beyond, adjust to full calculated dosage.
  5. Daily testing of orthophosphate concentrations will determine necessary dosage adjustments.
